About PAJC.

The Pittsburgh Area Jitterbug Club (PAJC) is a Swing Dance Community located just minutes from beautiful downtown Pittsburgh PA. This very active and fun-filled dance club provides at least two swing dances per month together with lots of special events throughout the year. The venue is primarily the lovely and spacious SNPJ Lodge #6 located in Bridgeville, PA, just minutes off of Route 79. The great dance music—a mix of Oldies, Beach, R&B, Blues, and Ballads along with some lines dance tunes—is provided by the very best DJ's in the Burgh!  All forms of Swing dancing will be seen. Whether you East Coast, Jitterbug, West Coast or even Shag, you will find it here at PAJC.  And most importantly, you will find some of the nicest people you could ever care to dance with.  Come on out and have some fun with us at the Pittsburgh Area Jitterbug Club!

Mission Statement.

The Pittsburgh Area Jitterbug Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion, preservation and education of both “Swing” (aka “Fast”) music and “Swing” (aka “Fast”) dancing: to include East Coast and West Coast Swing or Jitterbug, Bop, Carolina Shag, Rock n’Roll, Hop, Hustle, Cha Cha, Line and other forms of fast dance, but not prohibiting slower music and dance as time and circumstance permits.
 
The Club’s objective and purpose shall be to encourage, fast and preserve “Swing” dancing and music and to cultivate and promote good fellowship, social interaction, recreational and educational opportunities and loyalty among its members. This shall be accomplished through dances, social functions, lessons, entertainment and special activities.
